The "AJZ Engineering GmbH" joint venture was founded on December 1st, 2000, in order to merge the know-how, expertise and skills owned by the project departments that were operating as part of the previous Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH with those of Analytik Jena AG.

A self-reliant engineering company, AJZ Engineering provides system solutions to projects for research, education, the environment, industry, life sciences and medical institutions.

To provide technological pre-brand planning of clinics and laboratories of all kinds is its core competence.

AJZ Engineering views itself as an engineers’ operation dedicated to supporting and acting as general contractor for investors.

Currently, it has a workforce of 110 (thereof 54 employed in Jena).

The Company maintains its own sales operations in Russia, Kazakhstan, Algeria, Libya, the United Arabic Emirates and Brazil.

AJZ Engineering is TÜV-certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000.
