The DOCTER®8x58 does not only convince by its brilliant and high-contrast optical system, but also by the housing made of pressure-water tight plastic and the non-slip plastic sheathing that meet the most stringent demands of any hunter.

 

The control elements such as central focussing and dioptre setting are mounted in ergonomically favourable positions, thus facilitating non-fatigue and long-lasting observation.

The DOCTER®multitop multi-coating satisfies the most stringent demands. All optical surfaces are thus equipped with an excellent transmission characteristic and offer the user an incomparable image brilliance.

Spectacle wearers are able to use the entire field of vision of the DOCTER®8x58 thanks to the large exit pupil. People without spectacles use the binoculars with extended eyepieces. The "twist up" eyepieces can be set to individual binocular eye relieves, thus contributing further to perfection

Powerful Optic — Functional Design

DOCTER®ED binoculars feature a new, functional design. An open hinge connects the two halves of the body.

The "through grip" makes it possible to comfortably hold the binoculars with one hand and focus them at the same time.

 

 

 

 

 

The high–quality ED optical system guarantees faithful rendering of the original colors. The use of special ED lenses significantly reduces color dispersion. ED stands for "Extra-low Dispersion Glass", which is used to manufacture special lenses that are indispensable for sharply defined correction of longitudinal chromatic aberration. Combined with the DOCTER®multitop broadband coating, this ensures a true–to–detail and high–contrast image.

The time–tested "twist up" eyepieces are comfortable for all users, whether they wear eyeglasses or not. The click-stop eyepieces can be adjusted to individual binocular–eye distances for even more user convenience. Thanks to the large exit pupil focal length, eyeglass wearers can see the entire field of view with no restrictions.

Take your most stringent demands, such as are already met by some of the DOCTER® binoculars. Extend these by the most extreme conditions you can imagine, for instance those prevailing during expeditions in icy artic regions or in the desert. That takes you to where the 7x40 B or the 10x42 B will — in the true sense of the word — prove to be an unbeatable partner. Despite its extreme sturdiness, no compromise has been permitted as far as weight or even the quality of the lenses are concerned.

In conjunction with the elaborate 5-lens eyepiece, the telephoto lens design creates an enormous optical resolution capacity. With the large-dimensioned roof prism system, wide open optical beams are possible on the inside and light losses are clearly reduced. Heavy metal-free optical lenses, the hard broadband coating of the lenses, a nitrogen filling and the non-slip and shock-absorbing rubber armouring make these binoculars an optimum companion on any continent.

The extremely light-weight, but exceedingly sturdy aluminium-magnesium die cast housing provides the 7x40 B and 10x42 B models with their proverbial ruggedness, especially for professional applications: at sea, in the desert or in the mountains. For both models, special emphasis was placed on originality without compromise and distinctive functional design.

The porro prisms are on the inside sealed with putty, thus reducing the number of glass/ air boundary surfaces and lowering the portion of reflected light. It goes without saying that all optically effective elements (prisms, eyepiece lenses and object lenses) are equipped with the DOCTER®multitop multi-coating.

This NOPILEM® model has been specifically designed for nautical applications. Additional features such as compass and reticule make it ideally suited for the use at sea, even under adverse conditions.

These binoculars are particularly characterised by their non-slip armouring, the absolutely watertight housing and the individual focussing that is fit for the specific use.

The telescopic eyecups ensure an optimum adaptation to the eye and protect against interferences caused by incident sidelight and splashing water. A special coating of the object lenses protects against UV radiation, attenuates distracting sunlight reflections and increases both contrast and brilliance.

A reticule to determine distance and size as well as an illuminated, reflected compass rose round off the equipment package of the NOBILEM®Navidoc 7x50.
